Japanese artist and designer.
Born in Kagoshima in April 1978, raised in Kobe.
KOJI YAMANISHI (real name: Koji Yamanishi) has been interested in making things since he was a child, and continues to produce a wide range of works including painting, photography, sculpture and hat design.
He is also active worldwide as a hat designer.
His works are mainly sold in major Japanese department stores, and the value of his limited edition pieces continues to rise. He is loved by many people and continues to fascinate fans to this day.
In 2023, two of his paintings will be selected for an exhibition in Paris, France.
His unique worldview has the power to overwhelm viewers, and he is attracting worldwide attention as an up-and-coming Japanese artist who embodies that spirit.

Biography
・In 2003, the shop "POPE" was opened in the port city of Kobe.
He has traveled around the world, starting from Asia, then North America, Europe, and South America, and has created works of art using carefully selected materials, along with the experiences and inspiration he has gained and the diverse things he has sensed with his five senses.
・In 2015, he debuted his first "Paris Collection."
*Made his Paris Fashion Week debut as a photographer for the Maison de Linxiu collection.
- In 2015, the shop "KOJI YAMANISHI JR Nagoya Takashimaya store" opened.
- Exhibited at "Japan Expo Paris 2017".
- In 2017, a trunk show was held at Seibu Ikebukuro Main Store.
- In 2017, a photo exhibition and talk show was held at JR Nagoya Takashimaya.
- In 2018, a talk show was held at Takashimaya in Kyoto.
- In 2018, a "Premium Order Event" was held at the Rihga Royal Kyoto.
- In 2019, he created a collaborative piece (hat) at the exhibition "Your Name" directed by Makoto Shinkai.
- In 2019, a collaboration item was released with Sabae eyewear brand "FACTORY900".
・In 2020, the KOJI YAMANISHI Main Store opened in Motomachi, Kobe.
- In 2020, he appeared on "Kiss FM KOBE" in his hometown of Kobe.

- In 2022, the second flagship store, "KOJI YAMANISHI Ginza Store," will open in Ginza 3-chome.
